Kathy & Simon’s in Stockholm, Sweden

Tea Ceremony & Western Celebration

This was a two day wedding in Stockholm, Sweden, where Kathy and Simon brought together a traditional tea ceremony and a Western celebration. From the beginning, it never felt like two separate days. It felt like everything was already connected, just unfolding at its own pace. The rehearsal dinner was quiet in its own way, people meeting, sitting together, conversations starting without needing anything more. No structure, no pressure, just time spent together before everything else.

The next day didn’t change that feeling. The tea ceremony in the morning brought a different kind of stillness, more intimate and more grounded, a traditional moment surrounded by close family. We stayed close, without stepping in, letting things happen as they were. The kind of moments you don’t try to shape, because they already carry everything. Nothing was repeated, nothing was adjusted.

As the day moved forward into the Western ceremony, the energy opened, but it didn’t break. It felt like a continuation, the same story just seen from another side. We don’t step in to create moments, we follow them, moving constantly, adjusting, staying present enough to catch things as they pass, the small in between moments, the ones that are gone if you miss them.

By the evening, everything felt like one. No separation between traditions, no distinction between people, just a room that moved together. And then the music started. ABBA, loud, familiar, and suddenly everyone was in the same place without thinking about it.

A two day Stockholm wedding documented as it happened, without interruption.
